The prophet that I chose was Jonah. I chose this prophet because I knew that there were a lot of morals and messages combined into this one story that I could learn from.
The morals that I learnt were that you can't hide from God and that God is forgiving. When God asks you to do something, do it because God is never going to ask you to do something that will get you hurt.
Jonah was in the whale for 3 days. The three days he was in the whale, he prayed and repented an on the third day, he was released. There is one main connection in this story, it is that Jonah repented for three days and on the third day he was released, and Jesus rose from the dead on the third day. This suggests that '3 days' is some sort of healing time. Jesus was healed within three days and Jonah was forgiven after three days.

My knowledge of prophets has grown a lot. I now don't only have an understanding of a prophet, but I know the deeper meanings of them and what they did.
All the prophets of the Old Testament had one thing in common, they were all put to test. God tested them to make sure that they were loyal enough to do the will of God. Lets take Abraham, Abraham was put through numerous testes and one major test of faith was when Abraham was told to kill his son.
Every prophet and a different message to deliver and this is what has shaped our Church to what it is today.
PROPHETS DID ROCK THE CHURCH!
